Thank you. After my own children became to old to look at that part of entertainment industry, I get no response to my work anymore.

Re: How do I make a good speaker voice
It's really important to start with a good speaker. That may sound obvious, but having recorded thousands of lines of narration and dialog, I've been amazed at how many times producers have sent "talent" that just wasn't up to the task. I think some people thing that recording voice-over is easy and anyone can do it. I've spent more time editing out lip-smacks and pasting ending consonats onto words than I like to think about. If you find yourself using a lot of EQ and compression for a simple VO, you probably have the wrong speaker.
The part of spectrum that is most important for intelligibility is the 3k-5k range, so if you're having trouble understanding words, especially over music or SFX, sometimes emphasizing out that range can help. Compression can help keep the VO riding over the background, but make sure the attack isn't too fast or it will kill the transients and hurt the clarity. Again, with a good speaker (well-mic'ed of course) you shouldn't need to do too much of this.
