You'll need to install the latest version [5.1] of PTLE for it to work in WinME.

Although; I'm not sure if there is a 'wavedriver' only update which would be nice for those of us using the Digi001 with Logic/ Cubase / CakeWalk etc.

Anyone know if these are available?

Dan

Windows ME is more stable than 98SE, has better WDM driver support and tighter midi timing.

There's much debate over the use of these OSs; Win98SE or Win ME.

When I got my PC, I had Win ME. Not a single freeze, glitch, surprise re-boot, crash, nothing. Solid operation for about 4 months.
Then I got my Digi 001, and...er, you all know what happens next.
Wait for 5.1 until they find a cure for cancer, or step forward and get a different OS.
So, WIN 98SE it was, and I must say, it's been less than stellar, much less....
Hang-ups, freezes, surprise re-boots while in a PT session (looks great in front of clients! Try it!)
Now, I've had 5.1 for 2 days, although seemingly more stable, I got one lock-up and one surprise re-boot.

Should I make the move up to ME?
On an earlier post, I've had people swear by one, while swearing off the other.
If I do upgrade to ME (yes I know it's better to do a clean install, but an UG is all I have right now), should I expect any strange errors and dialog boxes, or can I just upgrade the OS, open PT and keep working in confidence?
