Specific demand about an audio editor (PC)
Ok, I use Pro Tools and it's fine, but in the past I've used a mac with Peak, and the thing I liked very much about it was the playlist because of the ability to create crossfades between the regions. It was so easy to remix a tune, create special effects etc. with this method. Now Pro Tools doesn't have any playlist, and I could get the same results crossfading different audio regions on one track. But it's not the same interface, and that's what counts to me.
So, my question, is there an audio editor for PC that can do this? I used Cool edit in the past and I couldn't achieve it, and Sound Forge doesn't make it that way either (there's a playlist, but without crossfading and nudge options). And I won't buy a mac just for this... |

Re: Specific demand about an audio editor (PC)
You may want to try Wavelab, specifically the Audio Montage feature which is only in the full version. Version 5 should start shipping any day now. It isn't cheap, but well worth the cost IMO.
