Re: Rode nt2
It's a decent mic, depending on the application. I like them on (some) male vocals and as drum overheads.

Re: Rode nt2
I've heard vocals recorded on the NT2 and they were very nice, i have a NT1a myself, it's a very full bodied mic compared to other low end condensers out there.
Cheers

Re: Rode nt2
I've got this mic, sounds simply brilliant on acoustic guitars, pianos etc. The mic is very warm and rounded sounding, so suits things needing a warm and rounded sound. It doesn't have much attack to the sound, this could be a good or bad thing - depending on what you're after. Dead quiet operator though.

Re: Rode nt2
I have the Rode NT1A and its a fantastic mic, the quietest I have ever heard, it picks up everything, and it is brilliant for vocal, piano, guitar, basically everything you can throw at it, for the price it is really impossible to beat.
I think I payed about £130 for it, must be the best bargain I have ever had. Russ |

Re: Rode nt2
I have the NT2A and it has been amazing for acoustic guitar, vocals (music and ADR), and even has worked out very well as a drum room mic. It's very flexible and sounds great. I would recommend that if you can afford to.

Re: Rode nt2
I love all the Rode microphones I've used and as much as I dislike the AKG414, I must say that it is an excellent microphone on acoustic guitar.
My point is that any opinion on a microphone should be tempered by the application. So what were you planning on using it for?
