Question on buying an item!

Hi everyone, i own Pro tools m-powered 8 and i have my ilok!
I´m interested in getting Pro tools 10, the question is..

If i buy Pro Tools 9 MP (which i can get for a nice price ) can i receive a free upgrade to 10 !??

In Avid website there is this :


"...Do I qualify for a complimentary upgrade?
You’re eligible to receive a complimentary upgrade to Pro Tools 10 or Pro Tools HD 10 if you've done one of the following:

Purchased and registered a full version of Pro Tools 9 software—or an Avid product that included Pro Tools 9 or Pro Tools HD 9 software—on or after October 1, 2011. (register your purchase).
Purchased a Pro Tools 9 upgrade or crossgrade, or a Pro Tools HD 9 upgrade, on or between October 1–20, 2011..."


My only doubt is if i can do it form a PT 9 MP !

You won't get a free upgrade to 10 by buying MP9.
The crossgrade from MP (any version) to PT 10 is $499.00

At this point the only people who qualify for a free PT10 upgrade from 9 are people buying new hardware bundles. So if you buy an MBox with Pro Tools 9 bundle you would qualify.

If you are getting Pro Tools 9 for a 'nice price' - well you got it for cheaper, so that should make you happy. If you really want to be using Pro Tools 10- don't waste your money on the 'nice price' - pony up for the software you really want:

Oh, thanks everyone! Gladly i didn´t buy it this morning!
I´ll keep waiting for a nice ebay bargain with PT 9 or 10 ..
The only reason for me is the delay compensation ( which is MUST HAVE) and the clip gain on 10....

8 is Ok , but after a test drive (30 days free trial on 10)....you can imagine how i felt! ehehh, much more smoothness processing things and the new functions are great!
