pt free download ,is it possible?

I try it many times and I still can´t download pt free, is there a problem with this aplication?, my computer can´t install the program after download, what am I gonna do now?

Really need more info. PC or MAC? What browser? Exactly what happens when you try to install?

I am having a similar problem on a mac. I downloaded it on a PC, burned it on a CD. However, when I try to decoed it on a mac, stuffit expander does nothing. When I downloaded it on a PC i called the file protoolsfree.hqx. due to a dial up connection on the mac, I can only download it ona PC, given the file sizes. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I have posted a similar message on the mac section as well.

I had used an IE browser on the PC to download and saved it on a network drive.

Try downloading using Internet explorer instead of netscape. It worked with that for me.

Try installing from a local drive instead of a network drive - PT requires a moderately fast hard drive, so installation from a network drive (which I would expect to stream data much more slowly than a local drive) might upset installation - in other words, PTF might abort installation because it detects that the network drive isn't fast enough to stream audio.
I'm not sure about any of the above, but it might explain your difficulties.
