New Mbox Pro showing later date at Musicians Friend

Just wanted to point out that the Mbox Pro on Musiciansfriend.com was showing availability of 10/18, and now it's been changed to 11/11. I don't know if that's just for them or all dealers, but I thought I'd point it out.

That sucks. Why? because I'm Pro Tool less until it comes out. Sold my modded 002, was going to get an 003 when these were announced. And I was going to have to buy a monitor control. But with that blessed button I can switch from Adams to Tapco's to NS10's with a breeze.

I think many here are ashamed to admit they will buy the Mbox Pro...heck I almost am. Going from the 00# series to an Mbox??? heh heh

But if this baby sounds at the very least, "better" than the 003, this box 'is' better than the 003!

At least this will hold me over till the 004 or whatever it is comes out.
Cubase is fine for now as I have compositions to complete but come mixing time, I must have PT so please AVID....don't delay these bad boys till 11/11.

Yeah, I was thinking this would be at least a holdover. But now we'll have to wait to get these 'til after AES, so we'll know what's announced anyway before we make a decision.

Violet I am confused why you would sell your modded 002 (BLA I assume) with the plan of getting a 003 or the new mBox Pro?

Are you/were you expecting them to sound better?

Went through this last Christmas and ended up with a little box with a picture of an M-Audio Oxygen 49 under the tree, with the actual keyboard not arriving until shortly after the first of the year.

When I put the keyboard on my list, Musician's Friend had a ship date of late November, then it slipped to early December, then mid December. At that point I decided it would be here when it got here, and moved on to other things...

Today I got a call from my sales person saying that the MBox (3) Pro is now pushed back to Nov 22!

Some site are still posting Nov 11 or 12.

Does anyone have a clue as to why the Mbox Pro is shipping so late (and getting later) compared to the Mbox3 or Mini3??

Anyone getting tired of visiting Avid webshop, account pages and music websites to get information that Avid do not provide ? I sure do.
Anyone from Avid to update shipping information would be appreciated.

I am willing to bet, they are holding off until after they show new products as AES, like a new 004 so that folks wont either return their M Box 3 Pro to get a 004 or cancel their existing orders for the Mbox 3 Pro to go with the new 004, either way, resulting in better handle on production, especially considering the end of the 3rd quarter.

yes the 004 is coming out in december...thats why mbox pro is on hold.

ya, the 004: 32 channels of lightpipe. it has USB3 and ESATA connections, meters galore, will work with all hardware, AND: it is solar powered...
