girlfriend gets mad when i'm on the computer

my girlfriend gets mad when i'm on the computer. this has been often recently because i upgraded to 5.1.1 from 5.0. the only reason i did this was because i got a new mix farm (4 total and 1 dsp). the new farms have a new motorola chip that didn't work with 5.0.

are there any real benefits to 5.1.1 aside from stereo tracks, surround sound, beat detective, and rtaz pluggins?

Well, as a Wife (not gf) maybe I can shed a little light on this subject.

It starts out being "20 or 30 then I'm done" We all know this means 2 or 3 hours in Eng. lingo. But it doesn't stop there. When you're home there is the Internet because you MUST have the latest updates, upgrades, virus, etc. You have to be on top of the latest news....Now for the HARD COLD TRUTH....If you "tweaked" on your girlfriends or wives even 1/10th of the time you do your computers you would be much happier...
Call at least once an hr. if you're late (this is NOT to much to ask)
Act like your listening (3 min. you're not going to miss any updates)
Get up (out of your chair/desk) you'd be amazed how much time it will buy you if you kissed or hugged or touched her for 1 min. without her having to come to your space.
bottom line. if you move first then what does she have to gripe about?
oh, and unexpected compliments work wonders.

No, I'm not your wife's lawyer. Just an engineering Widow. I never realized marriage could give you so much free time. Had I known this I would have paid more attention in shop class(woodworking,garage door hanging, etc). But have your wife call me. We could swap stories...lol
