Pro Tools TDM 5.1.3cs2 Update
This interim Pro Tools CS release is now available for download, linked from the Support/Downloads/Pro Tools section of the website, or here: www.digidesign.com/download/cs
Pro Tools TDM 5.1.3cs2 Update for Pro Tools|24 & MIX Macintosh Systems using Pro Tools 5.1.3

44.1 kHz Files Convert and Import to 48 kHz Sessions
Beat Detective — Fixes to Conform Strength and Exclude Within
Import with Apple Events does not clear Undo Queue
Improved Import, Editing and Export of OMF Sessions
Machine Control correctly identifying Remote Machines
What's Included in Pro Tools TDM 5.1.3cs2? Pro Tools 5.1.3cs2 contains the following: Fixed: Importing 44.1kHz files to a 48 kHz session With Pro Tools 5.1.3, importing one out of every 256 44.1 kHz files into a 48 kHz session failed. With Pro Tools 5.1.3cs2, the files will correctly be converted to 48 kHz and imported to the session. Fixed: Beat Detective - Conform Strength and Exclude Within With Beat Detective, errors were found in the functionality of the Conform Strength and Exclude Within commands. These problems have been fixed in Pro Tools 5.1.3cs2. Fixed: Spot to Timeline with Apple Events Cleared Undo Queue Certain non-Digidesign applications like Gallery's SampleSearch rely on Apple Events to interface with Pro Tools. With Pro Tools v5.1.x, importing a file via Apple Events could not be undone, making it impossible to undo any changes previous to the import. Pro Tools 5.1.3cs2 adds Apple Events to the Undo Queue. Fixed: Import of OMF Sequence with "Consolidate Source Audio Media" Fails With Pro Tools 5.1.3, importing an OMF sequence with "Consolidate Source Audio Media" results in "Could not complete the import tracks command because an assertion occurred in "FF_AudioFile.cpp" line 606." With Pro Tools 5.1.3cs2, this option functions correctly. Fixed: Editing Embedded OMF Sequences When working from an OMF sequence with embedded media in Pro Tools 5.1.3, if the sequence was opened with "Refer to Source Audio Media Where Possible" instead of "Copy Source Audio Media," there could be irregularities in the editing behavior. Pro Tools 5.1.3cs2 fixes these problems. Fixed: Exporting OMF Sequences with Fades Offsets Edits With Pro Tools 5.1.3 and DigiTranslator 2.0, sequences exported with Fades had the edits offset by the duration of the fade wherever a fade file existed. Pro Tools 5.1.3cs2 fixes this problem so that sessions with fades export correctly to OMF. Fixed: Machines ID as Generic1 In the Peripherals dialog of Pro Tools 5.1.x, if you query for the machine name multiple times, on rare occasions the machine will identify as Generic1, and not identify correctly afterwards. Pro Tools 5.1.3cs2 fixes this problem. Who Should Use this Update? Pro Tools 5.1.3cs2 can only be used to replace the Pro Tools 5.1.3 application. If you are using an earlier version of Pro Tools, you must first upgrade to Pro Tools 5.1.3, then install the Pro Tools 5.1.3cs2 application. Contact Customer Support for upgrade information. This update should be used only by:

Any Pro Tools TDM 5.1.3 user with Beat Detective
Any Pro Tools TDM 5.1.3 user who uses Gallery or other sound file libraries which import files to Pro Tools sessions using Apple Events
Any Pro Tools 5.1.3 user with DigiTranslator 2.0
Any Pro Tools TDM 5.1.3 user with the MachineControl option wishing to remotely control external machines
Requires Previous Pro Tools v5.1.3 Installation For more details & to download, please see: PT TDM 5.1.3cs2 Read Me.pdf (included in download) Pro Tools 5.1.3cs2 Download (with html version of Read Me) Regards, Digidesign Customer Service

Re: Pro Tools TDM 5.1.3cs2 Update
Will we get these fixes in 5.2 soon, or are these things already fixed in 5.2? I use 5.2 for Rocket/DigiStudio.
Thanks. |

Re: Pro Tools TDM 5.1.3cs2 Update
Yeah I'm also running 5.2. I suppose the upgrade does not work with these versions?
