Question Good for price?

What kind of motherboard/which chipset?

If you plan on using it for Pro Tools (which interface?) you'll need a secondary hard drive. There's room in there for one.
It might be cheaper to "roll your own" than buy a pre-assembled unit, though.....
At least that way you can put in the parts you know will play well together.

I would think it would work as I think the X58 is the only i7 compatible motherboard chipset(but I am not positive on that). In any case, +1 for a second hard drive(I would get a smaller/cheaper drive and clone the system drive to it so your OS and software is all on the smaller drive). The one thing that has me concerned is; the RAM appears to be slow. I run 1333 and wish I had gone with the 1600 or faster. Look on the back and make sure the video port is in one of the expansion slots and not integrated onto the motherboard.
