Can't import mp4

Before the last update I was able to import videos downloaded from whatsapp or sometimes h264 format. Now I have to convert the videos to Apple Pro Res to import. What's wrong?

My system specs
MacPro late 2013
OS 10.15.7 Catalina
Pro Tools Carbon
Pro Tools Ultimate 2021.12
64GB RAM

Nice, JFreak. I added my system information.
I already had this same problem in the past, but in the last version before the last update of Pro Tools I wasn't having any issues importing video files.

So you are on intel, check. Your system is supported, check. Video import and video engine should work, so if it does not, contact Avid Support. Last known "good" version that I know is 2020.12 so maybe while waiting you could downgrade to it? You can have multiple PT versions installed if you just rename the app file before installing.

I will contact them. Talking about the downgrade, won't I have a problem with Pro Tools Carbon? The last two Pro Tools updates, the unit updates its firmware too.

Carbon may be a problem with that version, but it does not break if you try. Just whatever you do don't update firmware at this point of troubleshooting.
