I see AVID Pro Tools 11 to 12 UPGRADE ONLY NO SUPPORT! advertised. Looks like from Canada ..... A?

Is this legitimate? If I upgrade with no support, what happens when PT13 comes out. will I just sign up for support then (at $200.00 of course) or will I just be setting myself up for starting from scratch?

From what you posted, yes it sounds "legit" to me. What they probably send you is a PT11 activation card that was parted out from a system (ie Eleven Rack)

When you activate PT11 now you get upgraded to PT12, but the support plan is not included.

Looks like this is for 11 users with that on an iLok already. I emailed him and he said if 13 comes out at that time I could sign up for Support/Upgrade at the price at that time and i would not start from scratch. He also said he got this from Avid (special deal).

BTW, I am only interested in upgrades ... not support.

Hmm.... well, as always with 3rd party purchases, Buyer Beware.

If you already have PT11 you could just take advantage of the $199 deal right now and upgrade to PT12 with a support plan that will give you access to all future upgrades for a year.
