Resolution Pro-Tools LE 8.0.5
What is the highest bit depth and sample rate possible in Pro-Tools LE 8.0.5?

Depends on the interface. Most Mboxes top out at 48K. Mbox Pro, 002 and 003 can go to 96K.

That is correct. But in LE, the software itself tops out at 24 bit, 96k, as well.
I only mention that because the Mbox 3 Pro works with 8 LE, and goes to 192k. But it can't be used at that sample rate in 8 LE, because the software is limited to 96k. Note that this is LE software. PT 9 and 10 lifted that restriction and go to 192k.

With the Avid products (mBox Gen 3) it's actually:
mBox Mini 48k mBox 96k Mbox Pro 192k The mBox Mini is still USB 1.1 while the mBox is USB 2.0 so it does the higher frequency.
