Not responding to midi keyboard
I've hooked up a Yamaha CP300 with a USB cable to the iMac OS X 10.6.
I downloaded the Yamaha driver for this and followed all the necessary midi Setup instructions inside Pro Tools 9. The Audio Midi Setup, as well as Pro Tools 9, all show that the CP300 is connected at port A and I've assigned that to the Instrument tracks. In short, I believe everything is setup as it should be, including 'receiving on first midi channel'. But, the instrument track is not responding to the CP300. It's acting as if it's not connected. Any help or ideas? |

Re: Not responding to midi keyboard
When you say "the instrument track is not responding" what do you mean?
Do you have a VI instantiated on the tracK? Things to check: Options>check Midi Thru. Preferences> midi tab> check drop down and select Default thru instrument> first selected midi track. |

Re: Not responding to midi keyboard
My MIDI just randomly stops working too. I find I have to restart PT and re-sync my interfaces, then it starts working again.
Any reason this might be happening? |
