Reason, Sampletank, or Kompakt?

Thanks for all the responses guys. Up until a few weeks ago I didn't know very much at all about synths and keyboards, etc. I'm hoping for Christmas to get something like a used Kurzweil K2000. I've never played it but it's been recommended by a friend of mine. I also listed to demos from the Kurzweil site.

I really loved the sound of the Triton, Kurzweil K2600, and I've heard the motif is great, but they're so expensive.

I'm probably going to end up purchasing Reason and some refills. Will the K2000 along with Reason provide me with plenty of sounds and options for my studio, at least for now and in this price range? I have an 002r and some good analog gear and mics, etc. Most of what I've recorded has been real instruments. I really would like the flexibility of loops and virtual instruments to fill out the songs that I work on. Several of the songs I've recorded I thought would have been great with some strings, organ, piano, etc. underneath.

well I have the Reason 2.5 and SampleTank 2.0
I was a fan of reason and used it 4 a long time until I saw sampletank but the 2.0 version that has the import option.
with reason you have te extract the sample CD, and stuff and stuff now with sampletank 2.0 you only put tha AKAI sample CD in your drive go to IMPORT listen to your samples, and import the partitions you need.
