Default PT 6.9 TDM and Logic Pro 7.1?

I've been following some of the Logic specific groups,
and there seems to be conflicting reports about
whether Logic 7.1 is working with Digi hardware in DAE mode.
Some people are saying its broken with the Digi CoreAudio driver,
but I don't care about that,
just direct DAE and ESB mode. I'm holding off on upgrading
Logic 7.01 to 7.1 til I get some more reports.

So, has anybody successfully run Logic 7.1 in DAE or ESB mode (not DAE CoreAudio)
on a machine that has a PT 6.9 installation and Digi HD hardware, and OS 10.3.8 or 10.3.9?
Thanks in advance!

Installed Logic 7.1 today on my PT6.9 HD3Accel Dual 1GHz Quicksilver. Works much better than 7.0.1, even AudioSuite is working correctly!!!

So there are new versions of ESB and PTHD|Ext to bridge between Logic and Pro Tools? Or is that functionality built in?

Sorry, I've been out of the loop for awhile.

All of the needed functionality/plugins are coming with Logic Pro.

Starting with Logic Pro 6.4 all instruments and plugins were included.

Take care,

Hi there,

I have 7.1 but have not as yet upgraded from Protools 6.7.
Is there any huge change for Logic/DAE users between PT6.7 and 6.9?
I am using 10.3.8.

Cheers,

James Richmond

Not a huge change, but it seems to work more stable.

And - AAF and OMF exchange between ProTools 6.9 and Logic Pro 7.1 is working just great!

did they fix plug-in automation in Logic 7.1? whenever i'd go to bounce a mix, none of the TDM-plug automation would play back...
