digi 002r firewire? problem

i left my 002r on last night, and it was in perfect working condition when i left it. when i awoke, the mute button was lit up, and it didnt seem to be responding. i figured, maybe there was a power surge, and it jus turned off and on, becuz, when i usually turn it on, the mute button is lit up, and the 002r will click like 4 or so times, then turn on. well, this time, it wasnt having any of that. i turned it off and on, jiggled wires (which, sorta worked, but only for 30 seconds at a time), and did everything in gods creation to see wat was wrong. no dice. i even popped the top off to see if anything inside is fried, nothing. im stumped, so hopefully somebody knows wats going on.

Search this forum for 'power harness'. Meanwhile, open it up, unplug and replug the connectors between the power supply and the various boards.

heh.. i didnt wanna touch that.. seeing as it has a big warning label right next to it.. but i figured that would be the problem.

but i didnt have to do that.. i uninstalled, then reinsalled my firewire drivers, then switched from the one firewire slot to the other on the 002r an it started workin again, i guess i blew the firewire on that side
