PT8HD cpu problem........proof with pics!

I run a dual boot system......7.4cs9 as my backup and 8cs2 as my main.Today I loaded up the exact same session on both and took screenshots of each with both the PT gauge and task manager side by side to compare in each PT version.Same buffer settings,no plugs at all.

PT 8 uses about 10x more juice then 7.4 did in this simple test.PT8's gas gauge lies.

It is interesting that the system usage meters in PT are the same though. Could there be other programs on the PT8 partition that are increasing the cpu usage in the task manager??

Youthink that's wierd. What happens when you minimize pt8? Graphics are a hog in this version!

Nope.My PT8 drive is a clone of my 7.4 drive,deleting 7.4 and adding 8 ofcourse.All versions from 6.9-7.4 both my gas gauge and task manager always jived together until 8 arrived.Something in 8 is very hungry and I wanna know what it is.It's like a freakin tapeworm in there!

cs3 did not fix the cpu consumption problem!All this wait for nothing!

Wow, then I should stick with 7.4 a while longer? I figured most of the bugs would have been ironed out by now.

I recommend going back to 7 for now, coz it performs basic functions like: playing audio. And novel things like... recording audio! Wow!
