Antares Valve vs T-racks? Help.
I am trying the Antares Valve sim plug and find it a little harsh, how does anyone else find it and its worth in dollar value?
I dont own tracks yet I have heard some great valve type results on vocals especially, just fishing for some opinions on the best valve type plug out there before I dive in to get one. AJ

Re: Antares Valve vs T-racks? Help.
i've been using the t-racks plug for quite a while now. it's difficult to compare it to the antares plug. which seems to me to fall into more of an eq/distortion box thing.
the t-racks is way more transparent... not that it's as good as the real thing, but with the comp/lim/eq/etc it's way more flexible and it will allow you to create much bigger sounding mixes. very easy to use - decent presets. i'm happy with it for sure. |

Check Mcdsp's Analog channel (AC1 and AC2) It kicks arse! seriously it's pretty much a compressor also. (Well sort of) Whatever you do, dont go the T-racks route. They're decent but in my opinion McDsp is at the top of the new school of plug ins.
