Default Output from PT to analog desk?

Is there any other solution (ie cards that might work) to get the 24bit Pro tools session mixed externally, other than having a stack of 888s? I have an adat Bridge (and so on) but the lightpipe won't help much with an analog desk's Iinputs. I guess I'm asking, is there a cheapy way of doing this for the customer who wants to mix the session externally?

TIA

Frontier Design Tango is an option. It will convert eight channels lightpipe to eight channels analog.

No, the Apogee DA16 is actually ideal. You have an ADAT bridge, and the DA16 converts lightpipe to Analog outputs. It's great, because you get 16 Apogee converters with a relatively low price, and your ADAT Bridge can stay useful.

Sorry,
what I meant was - is there a converter that will take the PT output and convert is to analog for feeding to an analog consol e without fancy adat connections etc. The RME appears to be a format converter in the digital domain.
TIA

Lumpo there is no way you can mix eternally to a desk in PT without an interface of sorts, now if you already have an adat bridge you will need a lightpipe to analog out box like rme adi pro which according to loads of people here sounds way better than an 888 interface its only 8 i/o so you would need 2 of these if you want 16 i/o bear in mind rme also has 8 analog ins, I own an adat bridge and decided to get that against the digidesign 1622 interface which is 16 analog i/os purely because i could always change the front end a/d convertors if need be, i currently use an adat xt20.

Good luck
