Default Drum module recommendations?

I have a DMPRO and am not thrilled with it's drum sounds. It seems a bit over-processed and the sounds are kind of thin. I am looking for a variety of good, full-sounding, natural drum sounds.

Can anyone recommend a decent module that has a number of really good basic drums?

If samples are the way to go can anyone recommend a decent sample CD of natural, well-recorded kits?

DS

Check out the ddrum homepage:
http://www.clavia.se/ddrum.htm

You can download a small software tool with which you can listen to ddrum samples (also provided on the page). I checked out some stuff from the new Simon Pillips etc. samples and ... these seem *very* basic (maybe even too basic for a drum module...), so this might be the stuff for you to look for! And the triggering seems to be very fast, so if this is also important for you check out another thread:

Good luck!

The Ddrum system is amazing - sounds and playability. I have one! It's expensive though.

If you don't want to spend too much, look at a software drum machine, or Alesis SR16, or a used Akai MPC

Another thing about the DDrum that I never mentioned on that other thread...the DDrum is a really quiet unit. Even though it has unbalanced outs, it's dead quiet going into my Mix+, even with the output levels maxed.
