how to make the split screen

i have a future music magazine and i see they have protools 8 with the edit screen on top and the mix screen on the bottom i tried to resize the windows to see if that would work but they both don't fit
is there a secret hand shake like the old color trick i would love to work this way
anybody knows and if its not part of protools it should be

It may have been photoshoped but who knows.

Hitting Command + + should be your best friend in a single screen application.

I can't speak for version 8 but this is easy enough in 7.3. Have you tried 'grabbing' the bottom right corner of the edit window and dragging upwards to resize?

i tried the resizing with the bottom og the screen but the mixer won't fit all the information or the edit window will be very small i would prefer a split edit / mix window than just a edit / midi edit window

How big was the monitor in the picture? You can probably do that with one of those monster Apple 30-inchers, but on a 22"/24" it would be pretty rough.

Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong thing but if not, u just go in the view tab & put it on horizontal...

Open both edit and mix windows. In Window tab go to Arrange and you should get:tile, tile vertical, tile horizontal and cascade. Useful if you have a large screen

thanks anangu this is the closest i've seen to the picture the vertical view is pretty helpful

the new axiom pro video show what i was speaking of the tile function is close but not the same
i have my mac pro hooked up to a 32 inch flat panel 780p t.v.
maybe my t.v. doesn't have enough resolution for this view
