No sound coming out of my Digi 003 PLEASE HELP!!!!

Ok yesterday everything was working fine, today I turn on my set up and am getting absolutely no sound out it (digi 003 control surface). now the meters on the pt 7.9 seem to be working just fine, just no sound. I checked all the cables, ( hooked them up directly to my boards) the control surface is contorling like its supposed to, and my monitors and everything are great there. Now I have a g5, tiger, digi 003, and 7.9, can anyone please help I really dont feel like shipping my stuff off for a few months if I dont have to.

Did you hit the MUTE button on the 003(upper right of the surface)? It powers on in MUTE by default. Meanwhile, review your info as there is no version 7.9 so I assume you meant 7.4? BTW, PT8 will not run on Tiger so if you wish to update, you will need to load Leopard when the time comes.

Are your other outputs working? main Mon outputs, alt monitor, 1-2, 3-4 etc...

no their not, not even the headphone outs

Check your I/O settings. Sometimes mine have changed mysteriously.

I have the same issue but with digi003 factory. I checked the i/o setup out 1 and 2 mapping to analog out 1 & 2. 3 and 4 mapped to analog out 3 and 4. both sets are stereo pairs.

powered monitor speakers are wired to the monitor L and R and the headphone amp is wired to the ALt K and R jacks.
I set outputs to 1 & 2 in the SW and no sound from speakers. I also tried 3 and 4 and no sound from headphones.

I also tried using the sends to these outputs to try and get sound but still now sound.

I setup an instrument track and was able to hear by pluggin in the headphones directly from the 003 headphone jack but no where else.
I tried the same test with tracks I created with my old digi002- no sound anywhere.

any suggestions?

You don't mention if outputs 5-8 are mapped in i/o setup.. Are they there? If they aren't there, then maybe something is up with your i/o settings.. Try setting to default?

Do you have master faders in the sessions? What are their meters doing..?

Only other thing I can think of is delete the preferences files. Instructions are on this page about half way down:
