Second half of the expansion chassis just went dead what gives?

Cant get 2nd half of the expansion chassis to work?

Brand New Old Stock high serial# Digidesign 13-slot Exp Chassis NB0746300E
also Used Magma 13 -slot Exp Chassis

Just Purchased from Performance audio with retuen policy as new
Chassis came complete with host and interface cards and 4' cable.
Worked fine yesterday.

Apple G4 Mac Tower 2003 Dual 1gig Quicksilver 1.5gig ram 0S.9.2.2
ProTools 5.1.1 TDM Mix++ and more

Second half of both of the the expansion chassis(s) are missing?

2x 13 slot chassis
3x interface cards
3x i/o cables!!!

all cards pass digitest solo.,,,,

I would try pulling that DSP Farm I and see what happens.

It may pass in DigiTest, but may still have something wrong causing data to not xfer to further cards.

Do you know which revision that DSP Farm I card is?

Assuming everything is rev QC or later, Put the DSP farm first, put your DSP farm II's after it.

Works like a charm. Except of course in OSX I lose the samplecells, they simply don't show up. I wish digi would open source the samplecell software so someone could try to make it work with 6.4.1. Those cards were great.

Other thing you might want to check is the power supply. Some of those exp chassis are underpowered. Mine has a 400W Antec, I think they came with 350 or 300 Watt. With 10 cards, that's pushing it.

One other thing, the 13 slot chassis is split into two separate busses, I believe the first 7 slots and the last 6. A damaged cable from your host card to the chassis, or improperly seated cards could also be a culprit.

The split was so you could stick a PT rig and an avid system on the same rig, without them interfering with each other.

Drove down to Santa Monica and picked up a whole new Expansion Chassis
