Default Crazy error message on bounce to disk

"could not complete the bounce to disk assertion in icode\azores_Handel etc."

tried variety of formats and conversions (AIFF, WAV, Quick Time) but haven't hit on anything that works.

anybody know what's going on here? I'd like to bounce an edit of a track I originally bounced a few months ago. Must a problem with the . . . rights?

Meanwhile, I'm hoping for a clever fix or workaround.

Thanks,

How

Your DAE Playback buffer is probably set to 4 or 8 - try changing it to 2 in the Playback Engine and do the bounce again...

Yes -- it was the buffer. Thanks
