Default OT: Best one sentence lyrics

I read somewhere that David Bowie used to write lyrics by cutting out funky words or pieces of sentences from books and newspapers, then yank them out of a hat, and try to combine them into sentences. This lead to odd, spacey lyrics and such.
So I'm interested in doing the same.
I figured it would be cool if everyone would contribute one sentence that they really like, from either a song or a book, or a movie.
You get the picture. Let's see what comes out of this.

Here is one, to start:
"Rendez-vous and I'm through with you" Eve6

Kaleidoscope angel wanna trip with me...

J/K

I love David Crowder's lyrics... I won't try to type any out because I don't have a way to check myself as I just gave his CD to one of my students.

As far as secular lyrics, which personally don't affect me as deeply, I always liked Em's freind... What's his name. Oh, Elton John.

I also admire Larry Cohen as a lyricist, though I enjoy reading him more than listening to him

Nas is deep too... Sometimes.

Alice Cooper definitely: From Billion Dollar Babys

"If I'm too rough tell me, I'd be so scared your little head would fall off into my hands."

Oh my and I used to listen to that stuff when I was 10 years old? No wonder!!!!

'man, the poets down here don't write nothin at all...they just stand back and let it all be'-
Jungleland/Springsteen

To me, that says it all about a lot of us creative types, and the fact that, though we have it in us, we don't put most of our lyrics down like we could and should.

Electric angel rock 'n roller - I hear what you're saying.

Ric's lyrics didn't make a ton of sense, but they always painted such vivid pictures for me - I always liked them.

Good call!
