HUI support going forward or not?
I'm sure this isn't a deal breaker to a lot of people. Honestly, it won't be for me either. I'm not going to debate the merits or not of PT 10. I'll leave that to everyone else. For me, PT 10 looks nice. But, with a fully functional PT9 rig and VE PRo on a second computer for VIs, it doesn't do anything I need to move to until a 64 bit OS is supported. That current functionality includes the Mackie Universal control surfaces I'm using.
I've read that HUI mode is supported in this version of PT 10. And I read Control 24, Command 8 etc support will be discontinued after this release. But I see no mention of HUI other than being supported now. Anyone know? Again, I'm not looking to start a thread whining about it if it turns out to be dead after PT 10. I just want to know what to expect if possible or if something has been said that I missed. Thanks for any info..... |

Re: HUI support going forward or not?
I'd be surprised if any DAW ever dropped HUI support. It's the oldest and simplest control interface, and it's really just a MIDI protocol.
