Default XPand sound module & midi controller question

Good morning, I'm running pt mp7.4cs9 and I can't seem to find the XPand sound module. Where do I find it? I'm very new to midi, trying to use a Roland D-20 keyboard as the controller. In regards to the D-20, do I need to have Midi In and Out cables hooked up, or just Out from the D-20 to the In on my Project Mix I/O? Thank you for the help..

If you have Xpand installed it would be in the Instruments plug-ins list.

Just the MIDI out from the roland would be needed.

Hm, I recently upgraded to the MP 7.4cs9.... Would the Xpand automatically come when I upgraded, or do I have to go to Digidesign and download it separately? Thanks

For a while Xpand was on a separate CD and wasn't downloadable.

Now that Xpand2 is out I don't know what's up.

If the upgrade was purchased via a disc then the Xpand! installer might be contained on that disc. If it wasn't you will need to purchase Xpand! either from the DigiStore or source it from your local music store. Xpand! is not downloadable.
