Default HW BUFFER problem !! Help!

Hi everybody!
Sorry for my english.
Please Help me.

Running on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits.

In my MBOX control panel y can configure my Buffer Size in 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048 and 4096. Its all ok.
But......

In protools 10.3 in the H/W Buffer Size setting I can only choose from 128, 256, 512 and 1024 samples.
NOT 2048 and 4096!!! ¿whyyy?
Can anybody helpme with this.

Have you tried different or no Delay Compensation settings? Do you really need higher than 1024? I run mine at a buffer size of 64 most of the time.

I just looked & I see the same lists that you do.

.....but as cwsand posted above, you really should not need to run buffers that large. You may be having problems getting data off of your hard drive. A Sandra report is the next step.

Yes yes....a Sandra report is the only way to get proper help and advice. Those higher buffer settings will only be available at higher sample rates(88.2 and 96K). I work at the 64 buffer for 90% of the time here, only going to 1024 when it comes time to do Melodyne or serious editing/Elastic Audio work
