Default do i need an external hard drive

I will soon take charge of a Mac G4 500 Dual(mmmmm......) and a digi 001.

I intend to use this system solely for audio production.

2 questions:

Do I need an external hard drive?

If not immediately, when should I get one?

Thanks DUC

Josh

1. no
2. when you feel the need for it. With 24 tracks of 16 bits audio, I don't believe you do.

1) maybe

2) Do you mean a second hard drive dedicated to audio? (Could be internal too, right?) Don't worry about it at first, just get up and running then set up a bunch of tracks and plugins and see what your limits are. Then decide for yourself.
