External preamp with mbox mini?

I have an mbox 2 mini.

I just bought a Art Pro MPA II external preamp. How do I hook it up to the MBox and bypass the MBox preamp? I have a Balanced cord going from my preamp going to the di/line on the MBox (tip/ring/sleeve connection).

Anyone have any ideas on this? I'm not sure if I'm hooking it up right or if it can be done with the mbox 2 mini.

Yeah, all you can do really is plug in the line inputs and just keep the gain all the way down on the mbox.

Agreed, and I believe the mini has unbalanced inputs. Just keep the cable under 10' and it should work fine(balanced XLR to UNbalanced quarter inch). Ultimately, the mini isn't a great choice for adding hardware

I'm pretty sure the mbox 2 mini accepts balanced or unbalanced 1/4". I have an mbox 3 mini and I know it does.
