I was thinking the same thing as you and I decided, until PT6 is released for OSx, to upgrade the 9600 to a 400mgh G4 with the XLR8 card for $145 from Daystar technologies on ebay. It was a simple and cheap upgrade. Load the drivers, put in the card and voila! a G4. When PT 6 comes out, before the end of the year, (yeah right!) then I'll probably get the new computer and do it in one go with a fresh install on the new OS.
