The longer you wait the fewer bugs that get released.

If only that were true...if I had a nickel for every time someone said that, followed by the release of software that was months delayed...and still buggy...

I've heard early Nov at earliest I will probably wait to install as due to dropping of HTDM etc may take a few months for plug ins to be updated to take advantage etc so why be without say an IR1 for a few months untill the "super RTAS" version or whatever they're calling it gets issued.

I have never seen version of Protools that have been months delayed. The Tiger version came out within weeks of Tiger OS being released. I also have never seen 'major bugs' in release versions of PT either (Like Unable to record/play/BTD) etc.
If Digi is not releasing it they have a god reason. Besides from with what they were saying at the Digi booth at AES many of your favourite PI may need upgrading in order to work in Protools 7.
BTW you computer will not blow up if it's not upgraded by Novemeber 1st.

You guys must not remember the time it took for PT6 to come out after everyone started dual booting with OS9/10.2. And after they released it, it was buggy until 6.1
