yes, you have to launch protools first then Ableton Live. It has to be this way regardless of which rewire software you use.
Create and aux track (or2) insert the digirewire/live plugin and then set which input/output from live. The first 2 should be the mix L and mix R. I have to say that digi have done a sterling job with rewire implementation. Theres no glitches (like I still get with Logic) when looping. Have Fun
