purchasing mbox 2 used
I'm interested in buying a used mbox 2 off of craigslist. The seller says that i won't be able to load protools however, because it's already registered to him. Is this true, and if so is there a way around this. Thanks for your help.

Not true. Registering has nothing to do with anything. Except if he's using pt9 which is ilok authorized. Then you need to buy your own copy. If he's got install disk (version 7 or 8) and the user manual with the serial # sticker your good to go.
