Default spectrum analysis with Voxengo SPAN.

I've installed Voxengo Span and the FXpansion VST-RTAS adapter 2.1. Apparently I should be able to see the plugin in the sends menus of the mix window, but it's not there. I'm doing something wrong, I'm sure, but how do I use that plug in? I'm interested in the spectrum analysis function.....help!
