Moving from G5 to Macbook Pro i7 using 002,
My G5 is working fine, within its practical limits, with the 002. I am considering moving to the MBPro i7. That would apparently require an upgrade of PT LE to a higher version of 7.x or even 8.x.
I'd like to continue using the 002 and buy the new version of PT. Then, eventually, sell the G5 **with** the older version of PT LE. Could the buyer use one or another current version of the M-BOX on the G5? Is the latest PTLE version (8.x) the one to go with, or is an earlier version more solid? What array (outboard HD, FW converters, etc.) have proven successful with the MBP i7's using the 002? Any red flags? Thanks, Blue Ridge
