moving protools le 7(windows)to intel core 2 duo macbook pro

alright, so here it is. i bought an mbox 2 windows version with protools le 7 about 2 years ago for use with my homecomputer which was running xp. so just a couple months ago i bought a brand new macbook pro and i am plannin on putting windows xp on it (which is an issue in itself but forget that for now), then installing my mbox 2 and protools. but i read on the site yesterday that ONLY protools 7.3.1 will run on intel core 2 duo computers (my macbook pro). soo i was planing on just upgrading for 50 bucks from 7 to 7.3.1 so itll all work. but in order to download the upgrade i would first have to put the normal 7 on my laptop then download the upgrade. but i dont know if that will all work because it says 7 wont work with core 2 duos, just the 7.3.1 will. Does anyone see any huge problems with all of this or should it work? it sounds like it would but it seems like its gonna be so sketchy. thanx for the help in advance.

protools le gear (mbox included) is supplied with both mac and windows versions. so dig out the box it came in - you may still have the disc and can avoid having to put windows on your mac.

thats true ill have to think about that but still it sais version 7 doesnt work with intel core 2 duo computers only 7.3.1 so how do i upgrade to 7.3.1 if 7 wont install at all to begin with ya kno?
