NEED ADVICE ON BUYING USED MIX+

hey kids,

well this is my first post in the TDM forum as i have been working on the digi001 now for the past couple of years. i am FINALLY going to buy a TDM system and i can hardly wait. my budget should allow me enough for a USED mix-plus. before i actually make any offers to anyone i thought i would ask the reliable pro tools users for some advice. if any of you would care to offer up any thoughts or questions that i should ask a potential seller that would be great.

the one question i had was, i've seen lot's of core systems for sale that don't say anything about the software being included. if i buy a core, farm, and software all seperately will there be authorisation issues??? ideally i'd like the system to be all sold together but i'm looking at my options.

According to Digidesign the software follows the Core card. Not the I/O not the farm cards.
So if you buy a MIX+ system, the minimum software that comes with it is PT 5.1. The serial number
should be in the TDM manual. Mix systems do not floppy authorize its a serial number.
Make sure the seller fills out a tranfer of ownership and gives it to you to send in to Digidesign.
