Are SSDs supported on a Mixrack?

Re: Support for SSD (solid state drives)
Hi Ed,
Same response as a similar thread asking about SSD on SC48: there isn't an official recommendation to use SSD, but customers who have opted to use them have reported no real issues. Use at your own risk. Sheldon |

Re: Support for SSD (solid state drives)
The main advantage I would be concerned with other than reliability by not having a spinner in there would be boot time. Is there a significant decrease in boot time with Venue like there is with a regular desktop machine using SSD? Or is much of the boot time consumed by hardware self test rather than OS & app load time?

Re: Support for SSD (solid state drives)
Our experience is that SSD do boot faster, but it does not dramatically reduce the overall startup time,as some of the startup processes are more dependent on the speed of the processor and the DSP sub-system than disc access.
