Default Digi Won't accept correct Serial #

I'm not surprised, given all the problems I've seen here regarding the 8.03 install, but (yawn), Digi repeatedly won't take the SN they provided on the card included in the 8.03 package with the new MBox 2.

Eventually I'll probably have to return this entire rig to Sweetwater, but Avid should understand that our time is money too, and this is a big waste of time, and, therefore, money.

Will Digi/Avid pay my hourly for this Merry-go-round? Doubtful.

I'm an amateur in PTLE, but I now commiserate more than ever with the professional old-timers who have been loyal to Digi but have seen Avid erode that loyalty with every passing day. No support, countless "no reply" emails, and other techniques more to be expected of a rogue spammer than of a professional business-to-business software firm.

New install: Macbook Pro i5 OSX 10.6.4

Does the code start with DIGI?

If not, you're probably entering an activation or registration code. Did you register and activate your product? If so, you should be able to get the code from your MyAvid account - sign in and it should show it on the main page of your account.

I have successfully activated the program.

There are four letters that appear on the yellow card next to "serial number." Below them, there is a white sticker (lower RH corner).

The number on that sticker (which corresponds to the location indicated by the website instructions) begins with BEAM, and is the number that also appears on the bottom of the sticker that is on the outside of the box.

In fact, on inspection, the sticker on the lower left of the yellow card contains the same numbers as those which appear on the sticker on the outside of the box. "BEAM...." and "9900...."

No sticker or number anywhere contained in the package begin with "DIGI"

Addendum: The sticker on the inside front cover of the "setup guide" does have an "authorization code" that begins with "DIGI," and contains three sets of letters/numbers with eight figures each.

Is that the SN?

If not, is there a number I might call to rectify this issue with some dispatch?

Thank you

Blue Ridge

Once you activated it, you should get an email with your DIGI authorization code. You can also find it in your MyAvid account under registered products.

The only email from Avid read, "failed registration," which elicited my first message.

Avenues of reparation?

Thanks

Blue Ridge

PS - I tried using the number inside the setup guide, to no avail.

Telephone # to call?

Assuming you're in the U.S. it's 650-731-6100.
