LOVE IT!
I'm really enjoying the faderport. the fader is great for writing "musical" automation (i.e. vocal rides, creative panning)
I'm comfortable with keyboard shortcuts so the "transport section" isn't a huge advantage but
grabbing the "mute/solo/record" buttons is much easier than "mousing" them.
A couple of features ("user","output") don't work in PT (yet?)...
but overall a nice addition to my "in the box" workflow.

btw -I see that Frontier is coming out with a similar product ("alpha track") early next year. I believe it is solely USB powered (faderport requires a wall wart)

i really like mine. fader is smooth. it is actually easier to navigate through tracks with one fader, than having eight with no lcd to tell you what fader coresponds to what track. my opinion. i owned a behringer bcf2000 first. took it back after trying to force myself to like it.

cons of the faderport
i wish they would have provided butttons so you could switch the pan pot to control aux sends. this seems like it would have been a no brainer. how am i supposed to automate aux sends?
