Pro Tools 8 MIDI issue
I have installed Reason 3 and Pro Tools 8 LE on my new iMac. Pro Tools, however, does not recognize Reason as an instrument. I deleted my propellerhead files in library/applicationsupport and recreated to no avail. Why will pro tools not find reason and rewire it?
Also, I have an fullsize Roland keyboard that I want to use as a MIDI controller. Is this compatable with Pro Tools 8? Any info would be extremely helpful!! Thanks, Mark |

Re: Pro Tools 8 MIDI issue
My memory may not be exact, but you may need to launch reason in standalone mode first, then maybe look through the preferences.. I think that is what configures the rewire client for protools.
Roland keyboard should be OK

Re: Pro Tools 8 MIDI issue
Besides what flommer indicated - that you need to launch Reason first as a standalone app for it to install the proper ReWire components - you'll also want to be sure you're running 3.0.5 for compatibility with Pro Tools 8.

Thank you both! 3.05 was the problem!
