Indeed you might - in fact Waves wasn't fully Silicon Native AAX until 14.8. Before then it only worked in PT under Rosetta.

There was a very long thread about it not so long ago, where terminology was much discussed (it IS very confusing). https://duc.avid.com/showpost.php?p=2667529 . It is so confusing even Waves support was confused when I asked, but 14.8 is the definitive answer as to when you can run PT AAX Waves plugs natively.
