TASCAM FW-1884 or US-24

Has anyone had any experience, positive or negative, trying to get the Tascam's FW-1884 control surface (or the USB 24) working smothly with the DIGI002 Rack?

Waveform only goes up ?

My snare (top) and kick mic have waveforms that only go upwards, they barely cross the 0 line going down... can anyone shed any light on this?

Is there any risk or danger associated with using lower Hardware Buffers? I set it to 128 now.

I had a similar situation. I did a thousand and one edits on a session, and the next time I tried to open the session --> Kaput.

I worked around the disaster by starting a new session...

It seems that I created too many fade files and now I can't re-open a session. Anyone else had this problem??? Any solutions, or guidelines?

thanks, but i think it would be less time wasted to just go to the previous backup.
