I can understand not using the HDX cards for mixing considering Ultimate will give you 384 voices native verses 256 with the card and latency really isn’t relevant.

That is true. But if you have Tiger and wanted to go to Snow Leopard you don't have to buy Leopard. You pay $29 and done. If you own a MacIIFX you can buy Lion for $29. It obviously won't work due...

That is exactly my point. Regardless of what the upgrade prices are, I can't understand why the Accel PTHD prices are sooooo much more while getting less. If one was to pay only for new features...
