Ah....!! Bingo....! I'll bet that's it....and as soon as I get home I'll try adjusting that.

I'm using the M-Audio Mobile Pre USB... and the software interface, I believe, DOES allow for that...

H/W Buffer Size question

SYSTEM = Windows XP Pro, M-Powered Pro-Tools 7.4 cs2, 2G RAM, 2.66 Ghz Intel Core 2-Duo chip system

Under SETUP menu----> PLAYBACK ENGINE---->H/W Buffer size, my ONLY option is 256 samples.

Thanks.... got your e-mail on deleting preferences manually, and all the referrals to PACE....

Dumb question though: If I delete all those prefs.... won't that also prevent my SUCCESSFUL user...

Just letting you and the tech support know I have had LIFE getting in the way of finalizing the "fix" on my Pro-Tools/M-audio issues. But, back to it tonight.

Uninstalling and re-installing PACE...

I've been trying both versions of PT to see which might work with the M-Audio drivers. Neither does.

As for your other question: Most times it just crashes right...

But all that ruins the idea of having the quick-punch keyboard keys to stop the recording, rewind, and hot-punch the recording again when narrating long-format material...
