FYI, just fixed the problem (on my laptop - will do same on desktop, just as soon as I get my RAM back from the shop...)

I'm having a similar problem too :(

Running Windows 7 64-bit on laptop (and 32-bit on desktop - having exact same problem with both rigs).
Fruity Loops 9 Signature (XXL) not recognising MBox 2...
