That's a poor test because some plugins have different demands (like the requirement to run all on one chip.) So you'll get different results depending on how they load in and what the plugins are.

One note: You can create layouts for DADman but they won't store with DADman (profile or settings save in DADman.) But you can manually recall the layouts (import) which is what I've had to do.

That's the usual sign of Pro Tools having trouble talking to your audio interface. So check your audio interface and its drivers.

That is much faster than what was possible 4 years ago. And how Soundflow worked 4 years ago. It looks like it is interrogating the state of the track so they might have added the "is empty" state....

The issue was with the playback engine (the audio hardware) not the video engine. It's fixed now.
