Re: How and when do you use the Phase cancellation

There is a phase reverse switch on many of them... and a phase cancellation switch would be worth having... but I don't have any plugs with a phase cacellation switch.

Phase reverse is usefull for...

Re: Using Indigo as a Vocoder

There may be a patch named 'Vocorder'... but I don't think Indigo has an actual vocorder feature where one can impose certain characteristics of one sound source on another sound source.

I might...

Re: How to Mix a Piano?

Thanks for your reply and clearing up my questions.

OK. Midi is out. It seems odd that she would be concerned about her 'sound', yet would still favor a 'keyboard' over a real piano. I guess, at...

Re: Scoring for film

Different strokes I guess Lee,

I do the midi stuff in DP and then record everything into PT. PT is, for me by far, a much better mix environment.

...And depending on how you work, changes can...

Re: Scoring for film

+1 for using DP to write the cues... and then record into PT.

Each piece of music is started in DP as a separate cue. It's just seems easier when adding real players to cues to start on Bar 3...

Re: OT: Importing Audio from CD\'s

Thanks Barnabas!!

Somehow, though, I have the feeling this will not be settled soon. Just for the record, I come down on the side of "if it cancels out, it's the same".

The thing I love the...

Re: Any Pro ever been in this situation

The producer could release it with the vocal you have... That would save 10Gs. (Just kidding!)

Her people will come down in price when the producer offers to release the project like it is. "Hey,...

Hank5,

Just be sure to come from the point of view that you're in the "problem solving bizzness" and that you want this to turn out to be a good thing for everyone!!

No need to bad-mouth the...

Re: Delay Compensation on TDM HD system...

Check your preferences to make certain you are on the longest possible delay compensation setting. You may have some plugs that cause more delay than the shorter setting.

Re: Vocal front end

You might try another mic. The right mic for the right singer is hard to beat.

If you're going into ProTools, you might want to consider not applying compression while you record. You shouldn't...

Re: Aux tracks Latency in Mix System

Re: How do you sync audio???

You may prefer the sound of the SFX (in relation to, say, a downbeat) a little before the beat or a little after the beat due to the way the sound starts... or due to the location of the loudest part...
